Job Title: 2x NOC Engineer

Role:

Are you an experienced NOC Engineer looking to join a growing and highly specialised network ISP? We’re working with a company that focuses on delivering cutting-edge network services for enterprise and service provider clients. With continued growth and significant demand across their portfolio, they’re now looking to strengthen the engineering team with a senior hire. This role is all about troubleshooting and ensuring core infrastructure runs seamlessly — with scope to get involved in design and emerging tech projects along the way.

Responsibilities:

Monitor network performance, servers, and connectivity using NMS tools.

Respond to alerts and alarms, ensuring quick resolution of incidents.

Troubleshoot network faults and escalate complex issues to senior engineers.

Perform basic configuration changes, patching, and routine maintenance.

Document incidents, resolutions, and update operational procedures.

Provide technical support to internal teams and customers during incidents.

Identify recurring issues, assist with capacity planning, and suggest improvements.

Work on a shift rota, ensuring 24/7 coverage and smooth handovers.

Skills / Must have:

Any Basic Networking

Willingness to learn

Nice to haves:

Hands-on experience with Nokia equipment.

Familiarity with Fortinet SD-WAN and/or Ciena solutions.

Background at a Tier 1 ISP or comparable network service provider.

Salary: £31,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience).

Location / Work Setup: Office in Shropshire. Ideally, candidates should be based within 30 miles of the office

SHIFT PATTERN: 4 on, 4 off - 12 hour shifts. 2 days followed by 2 nights.
