Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT/Network Engineer to join our dynamic 24/7 Operations Centre team in Belfast. You will be part of a shift-based team supporting critical infrastructure, resolving IT/network incidents with precision, and ensuring high-quality service delivery across a wide client base. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving technical challenges, and is passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
Shift PatternDays: 4 days on (7am-7pm), 4 days off → repeated twiceNights: 4 nights on (7pm-7am), 4 nights off → repeated twiceThen cycle returns to daysAll candidates must have experience working in a shift-based operational environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the first point of escalation for customer calls.Log and manage faults/service requests (via Remedy), resolving 95% at first touch.Work within strict SLAs to ensure timely resolution.Maintain accurate shift handovers and update support tickets.Keep customers informed throughout the fault lifecycle.Configure and troubleshoot Cisco, Juniper, and Adtran switches, routers, DSLAMs, modems, and other IT systems.Manage circuit faults across ADSL, SDSL, Ethernet, NGA, MPF, and SMPF.Liaise with third-party engineers and suppliers to resolve issues.Support field engineers with remote configurations and link checks.Monitor network health using SolarWinds.
What We're Looking ForProven experience in an IT Helpdesk or NOC environment.Strong troubleshooting skills in IT/Networking, with appropriate escalation practices.Background in enterprise network support; CCNA or equivalent.Experience supporting Windows OS and servers.Knowledge of ITIL service environments and SLA adherence.Experience working with third-party suppliers and managing escalations.High attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Eligible for Security Clearance.Strong teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.
