OverviewJoin us at Barclays as a Network Solutions Engineer, where you'll play a vital role in embedding security into the design, engineering, and delivery of cutting-edge network products. Partnering across business, technology, and security teams, you'll help ensure our infrastructure is secure by design and aligned with evolving regulatory and threat landscapes. To provide a primary liaison service between the business, technology, and security functions, you will help ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information, and support the mitigation of security risk.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with stakeholders to understand their security requirements in business processes and IT projects, to enhance overall risk management.Execute risk assessments to identify and prioritise potential cybersecurity threats that could impact the bank\'s operations and data, and guide the implementation of mitigation strategies; communicate findings to relevant senior stakeholders.Collaborate with business units to develop and implement security policies and procedures for the bank\'s operations aligned to the risk management framework.Manage the implementation, testing and monitoring of security controls across the bank\'s IT systems to ensure the effectiveness of controls and mitigation of risk.Execute training content and sessions to educate employees, enhance cybersecurity awareness and provide guidance on safe online practices.Manage complex cybersecurity incidents by collaborating with IT teams and response experts to effectively resolve cases through analysis, expert support and project supervision.Identify emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and new technologies to address potential risks by advocating the adoption of new security solutions. Qualifications & SkillsProven experience managing and securing network infrastructure, including firewalls, proxies, and load balancers.Strong understanding of network segmentation and Zero Trust architecture.Hands-on expertise with modern security platforms such as Zscaler.Extensive experience across full-stack network security, covering infrastructure, protocols, and threat mitigation.Strong background in designing and implementing secure network architectures for complex enterprise environments.Deep technical engineering expertise in configuring, deploying, and managing advanced network security solutions.May be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology skills.
