The Role

We are looking for a Network Support Engineer to join our Operational Support Team, currently managing and maintaining wired and wireless private mobile networks. This role provides technical support, manages ITSM incident resolutions, hardware configurations, and maintains technical administration databases to ensure the smooth operation of our network infrastructure with a focus on SLA achievement and network availability targets.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile and align active databases related to network configuration
  • Maintain the structure of network data sources with a focus on quality and accuracy
  • Manage access controls and permissions for network systems
  • Assist in tracking and managing network faults and issues
  • Collaborate with IT and support teams to ensure seamless operations
  • Prepare and distribute regular reports on network status and issues
  • Support the streamlining of shared intranet space

Essential Role Requirements & Skillset

  • Previous experience in a similar role or in a first line technical support role with experience in database maintenance, cleansing and migration
  • Proficiency in using IT systems tools and software for database management and reporting (e.g., MS Dynamics 365, Power BI, Trello, Autotask, Excel) with a good understanding of basic network concepts
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential

Qualifications And Training

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • ITIL Foundation certification
  • A full UK Driving licence would be beneficial
