Noise & Vibration Engineer (Senior Technical Advisor)Noise & Vibration Engineer (Senior Technical Advisor) role located in Leatherhead, supporting global design and engineering projects within a wider Technical Safety and Environmental Team across various industry sectors. Industrial acoustics addresses noise and vibration control in process equipment, piping, valves, HVAC, PAGA, and architecture. Your work will include:Identifying project-specific legislation, standards, codes, practices and procedures.Developing philosophies, or basis of design.Developing calculations or models.Compare predicted N&V levels against the required limits.Support projects in the identification of noise and vibration reduction, control or mitigation measures.Supporting Package Responsible Engineers (PRE) through procurement phase, particularly during vendor liaisons.Under broad direction, you will interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments.Apply advanced theories, concepts, principles, and processes for an assigned area of responsibility.Skills And ExperienceExpert level understanding of several areas of noise and vibration, with a good understanding of all other areas.Able to check and confirm completeness of deliverables.Experience in leading project work on FEED or EPC projects.A relevant number of years of experience.Educational ExperienceBEng or equivalent in science or engineering.Master's degree in engineering (preferred).Chartered Engineer: membership of an accredited Institution, e.g. Institute of Acoustics (preferred).Company InformationWhen you become part of the KBR team, your opportunities are endless.
