Nuclear Safety Case Engineer (Multiple Locations)
About the Opportunity
Are you ready to make a real impact in the nuclear industry? Our Safety Case Engineers are at the forefront of ground-breaking projects, working across civil nuclear and defence sectors, both in the UK and globally. From next-generation systems and emerging reactor technologies like SMRs, to ensuring the safe operation of existing nuclear facilities, we cover the full nuclear lifecycle.

We are interested in professionals with expertise in areas such as:
- Safety Case production and management (e.g., engineering changes, safety reports such as PSRs, PCSRs)
- Hazard and Risk identification and assessment (e.g., FMEA, HAZOP, ALARP)
- Internal and External Hazard assessments
- Deterministic and Probabilistic Safety Assessments (PSA)
- Nuclear Licensing and Authorizations
- Integrating safety principles into engineering designs
- Structural Integrity design/assessment of nuclear structures and components
The Role
The key responsibilities include:
- Delivering technical work to demonstrate safe operation and regulatory compliance
- Liaising with clients to understand challenges and develop solutions
- Representing the business in technical meetings with clients, regulators, and third parties
- Maintaining technical capability and mentoring junior team members as appropriate
What You'll Need
- A degree (or equivalent experience) in a STEM discipline
- Experience in executing project tasks according to relevant standards and practices
- Strong communication skills to articulate information to diverse stakeholders
- Chartered Member of a professional institute (or working towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status)
- Professional engineer status with a relevant professional body
