Methods Engineer

Full time, Hybrid (3 days on-site / Derby)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Engineering Delivery - ET&S team, which is crucial for increasing product throughput within our MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) network.

Role Responsibilities

• Join our Overhaul Methods Engineering team, developing and verifying Overhaul Methods and Maintenance Instructions, including Engine Assembly/Disassembly Methods.
• Publish instructions and support our domestic and external MRO network.
• Drive quality, cost, and delivery improvements, aiming for zero defects using tools like APQP, PFMEA, MSA, and FAIR.
• Collaborate across functions to reduce risks and ensure first-time right outcomes.
• Manage activities, communicate progress to stakeholders, and support implementation of overhaul methods.
• Develop professional competencies to attain signatory authority, such as Methods Engineering Approvals.
• Continuously expand knowledge and provide coaching and technical support to team members.

Candidate Profile

• Strong technical engine knowledge with an appreciation for design change and compliance to type design data.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Results-driven with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• HNC or higher in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Experience with Manufacturing Engineering skills, Zero Defects principles, and tools like PFMEA, MSA, 8D, FAIR, and Design for Assembly.
