Job Description

Turner & Townsend is the leading consultancy provider to the Infrastructure sector. We are recruiting a P6 Planners / Planning Engineers with proven Infrastructure sector experience (Rail, airports, roads, power, water, utilities and Defence) to be based in our London office.

Main Job Purpose

• Planning Engineers are responsible for all activities associated with the preparation and periodic progress reporting of Level 1 and Level 2 schedules
• Support the project teams with planning-related responsibilities associated with management of their contracts and reporting requirements
• Participate in and support project teams in project and programme planning and progress meetings
• Identify and maintain programme/project milestone and schedule interface activities

Main Challenges Of The Job

• Support planning and scheduling processes required to manage contracts and contractor schedules
• Support programme progress and reporting requirements
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate schedule interface requirements
• Adherence to NEC contract processes for management of schedule data and submissions
• Maintain awareness of commitments and support efforts to avoid breaches

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in a construction-related subject preferred
• Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis, in both field and home office
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with PC operating systems and basic software applications
• Proficiency with multiple discipline-specific software applications such as Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office
• Intermediate knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up processes
• Knowledge of engineering and construction management
