OverviewParking EngineerA South London council is seeking a Parking Engineer to join its Parking Design Team. This role will support the delivery of parking and traffic management projects, helping to improve road safety, accessibility, and the efficient use of street space.Main responsibilitiesDesign, implement and monitor parking schemes, including Controlled Parking Zones and other restrictions.Carry out site surveys and traffic assessments, producing detailed design plans using CAD.Draft reports for committees and senior managers, presenting technical and complex information clearly.Provide cost estimates, prepare works orders, and liaise with contractors on implementation.Ensure signage and carriageway markings comply with statutory requirements.Work with residents, businesses, Transport for London, emergency services, and other stakeholders.About youQualified to ONC/OND/HNC/BTEC or degree level in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).Practical experience in traffic or parking scheme design, with knowledge of relevant legislation.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Word, Excel and GIS systems.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage your own workload.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Full driving licence.What you need to do nowIf you are interested in this role and fit the criteria above, please send us your application today.
