Pavement Engineer

I am working with a leading consultancy in the transport and infrastructure sector who are seeking a talented Pavement Engineer to join their established Highways team in Perth. The Role

As a Pavement Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, assessment and delivery of pavement and asset management schemes, working across a diverse portfolio of projects. You\'ll be responsible for ensuring technical quality, compliance with standards, and supporting the delivery of high-performing highways solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Producing technically sound designs and documentation in line with client requirements and industry standards.
  • Preparing and checking drawings, reports, calculations, and technical outputs.
  • Supporting senior engineers in developing pavement maintenance and rehabilitation plans.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff, reviewing and overseeing their work.
  • Promoting best practice in health and safety throughout project delivery.
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders, including participation in project meetings.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in pavement design and asset management.
  • A strong understanding of DMRB, Manual for Streets, CDM regulations, and other relevant standards.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and analytical design tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Confidence to supervise junior colleagues and review technical work.
  • A track record of delivering projects to budget, programme, and quality standards.
