Salary: £40k to £65k depending on experience

Role Overview

We are seeking a Performance Engineer to join our technical team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maximizing car performance through data analysis, simulation, and trackside engineering support. You will work closely with drivers, race engineers, and the wider technical group to ensure the best possible competitive advantage.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse telemetry and race data to identify performance opportunities.
  • Collaborate with race engineers, strategists, and drivers to optimize car setup and performance.
  • Provide trackside support during race weekends, including Formula E or similar events.
  • Conduct simulation work, including driver-in-the-loop sessions, to validate and enhance performance strategies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of performance tools and methodologies.
  • Produce detailed reports and recommendations to inform strategic decisions.


Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Performance Engineer in Formula E, Formula 1, WEC, or other top-tier motorsport categories.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics, data analysis, and race engineering principles.
  • Proficiency with data analysis software (e.g., ATLAS, MATLAB, Python).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • A degree in Motorsport Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for races and testing.
