SUMMARY:

Asia Cloud-On-ramp: The Perimeter Onramp network aims to establish a versatile service provider network that links the DMZ infrastructure in the main data centers to cloud and other third-party networks in colocation sites. This initiative is designed to shorten the time required to provision new cloud connections, whether to boost capacity for existing cloud providers or to establish connectivity with new ones.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

This project is centered on developing cloud-onramp infrastructure within the Asia Region at a New Era Client site. Daily activities and responsibilities include:

• Network Infrastructure Design and Planning - Develop detailed technical specifications, network topology diagrams, and implementation plans for standardized DMZ, Colo and DC deployments.
• Project Execution and Technical Implementation - Coordinate the hands-on installation with our global data center team. Manage the configuration and deployment of network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Management - Work closely with senior network leads, project managers and team members to ensure project deliverables meet technical and business objectives.
• Testing, Validation, and Quality Assurance – Execute comprehensive test plans, perform post-implementation validation, and execute rollback procedures when necessary.
• Documentation, Knowledge Transfer, and Operational Handoff - Create detailed technical documentation including network diagrams, configuration templates and operational procedures.

COMPETENCIES:

Cloud, Juniper, Cisco Nexus 9K Series

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

• Experience in managing a global network platform, including Internet / B2B DMZ’s
• Experience testing and planning the deployment of router and switch platforms
• In-depth knowledge of data center design principles, products and protocols
• Good appreciation of Network Security architectures, models and methodologies
• Extensive technical experience using many of the following: Cisco Routers, Switches, Nexus, Cisco NX-OS, IOS-XR, Juniper JunOS, IDS/IPS
• Support, Design and product experience with firewalls – Juniper JunOs and Palo Alto
• Security hardening on various platforms. Familiar with industry best practices in network security
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Solid experience managing, configuring and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure and OCI)
• Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Broad technical experience in engineering and implementing networking technologies within a large Enterprise, preferably with some exposure to the financial sector.

Optional Skills & Experience:

• Experience integrating with public cloud environments.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

Senior Level (7+ Years in Design with Cloud Infrastructure)
