Physical Design Engineer – Bristol

This is an exciting opportunity for Physical Design Engineers of all levels to come and join my client, a leading independent design service company. This is a unique opportunity to allow you to work on a range of projects and deliver leading-edge solutions for their customer’s needs, working in a range of markets including communications, industrial, avionics, Security fields and more! The fact that no day will ever be the same gives you the opportunity to work across the whole Physical Design flow, developing your skills and expertise in all aspects of the job role. Responsibilities

The description indicates involvement across the Physical Design flow and delivering solutions for customer needs across multiple markets. Specific day-to-day responsibilities are not enumerated beyond this general scope.

Requirements

• A good academic record with a 1st or 2:1 in Electronics or a related field
• 3+ successful tapeouts
• Knowledge of entire PD flow from netlist to GDS (Floorplanning, Power planning, Placement & Optimisation, CTS, Routing, Post route optimisation and DRC closure).
• Experience in logic synthesis, conformal, static timing analysis and Place and Route (PnR)
