Physical Security & Access Control EngineerBrief Overview Of RoleResponsible for planning, testing, installation, and service of physical security and access control systems for various job sites. BTO participant ensuring projects are delivered within agreed timescales by interpreting project plans and recommending any modifications that may be needed for the successful sign-off and job commissioning. Also acts as a liaison between the engineers and the clients, making sure that everyone is aware of the job's progress and any issues that have arisen during implementation. Responsible for post-implementation fault finding, testing, and the repair of audio-visual equipment for various job sites.Accountabilities IncludeKnowledge & Key SkillsOn-site Work 90%Practical Work Includes, But Is Not Limited ToConducting site surveys and producing installation plans in line with client requirementsTerminating and testing structured cabling for IP-based systems, delivering client training and handover documentationEnsuring all work met BS7671 and manufacturer guidelinesPerforming cable runs and trunking in high-traffic environmentsSupporting maintenance contracts and reactive fault callsCommunicating with customers and site contactsAdherence to site rules, procedures, and H&SCommunicating job progress to the Project Manager and the Resource PlannerSite cleanlinessCompletion of all project documentation and sign-offsConfiguring, performing diagnostics, and firmware updates of the Logging service reports and updated asset registersIn office 10%Installation preparation of tools, equipment, consumables, and installation documentationEssentialCity & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electronic Security and CCTV Systems or similarClient liaison and technical documentationFault diagnosis and system maintenanceCompliance with UK electrical safety standardsEffective communication skills at all levelsGood numeracy and written skillsGood organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload effectivelyAble to work on own initiative and as part of a teamGood time keepingAble to work under own directionBasic PC skills Excel, Word, PowerPointClean driving licenceIPAF 3a/3b LicenceECS, PASMA - certifiedSSSTSCTS / CTS IFIRST AID #J-18808-Ljbffr
