Position: Pipeline Engineer – Energy & Infrastructure Location: London Package: Competitive salary + benefits, hybrid working
Overview: Join a global engineering business recently awarded multiple UK projects, spanning conventional oil & gas and energy transition sectors (hydrogen, CO₂/CCUS, ammonia). This role offers exposure to complex onshore pipeline projects with a clear pathway to Principal level.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and review design calculations for pipelines.
Develop route designs, including crossings, alignment drawings, and reports.
Prepare technical deliverables such as design reports, specifications, and philosophies.
Support survey and procurement activities, including MTOs, specifications, and data sheets.
Requirements:
Engineering degree (or equivalent), Chartered status or working towards it preferred.
2–5+ years of onshore pipeline design/engineering experience.
Knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
Awareness of construction methods: HDD, trenching, Direct Pipe, or auger boring.
Strong written/verbal communication skills; proficient in MS Office and Mathcad.
Desirable:
Experience with ASME B31.12 or CO₂ pipeline design.
