Job Description: Planned Preventative Maintenance Engineer
Location: 6 Pirin Court - Days - Mon to Fri
Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, the Planned Preventative Maintenance Engineer will undertake planned maintenance activities on a wide range of Fire Systems assets, mainly in the Trackside environment. You will work days from Monday to Friday but may be required to do occasional night shifts. You will work both as part of a team and independently, ensuring safety at all times. The role involves significant travel between stations, so a full driver’s license is essential.
Key Deliverables
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks daily for fire systems within Rail
- Assist in delivering daily tasks aligned with business expectations
- Work effectively as part of a team and independently depending on the task
- Maintain health and safety standards and awareness
- Report progress regularly to the site supervisor
- Use ServiceNow platform to complete visit reports
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate site reports on completed activities to the site SPC or line manager
- Complete maintenance according to the scheduled plan
- Ensure maintenance meets required standards and report issues
- Complete administrative tasks promptly
- Comply with QEHS requirements
- Follow Drug & Alcohol policies
Qualifications / Skill Requirements
- Knowledge of system maintenance procedures related to Fire Systems within Rail
- Previous experience with Fire Systems
- Experience working within the LUL or Rail environment
- Valid driving license
- Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol testing, as work involves trackside activities
