Planning Engineer (Inside IR35)

Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for an experienced planning engineer to be engaged on a contract basis in Preston, Lancashire (2 days a week in office).
Key Responsibilities
Support the Programme Delivery Manager in developing, baselining, progressing, and maintaining an integrated programme.
Lead planning workshops to identify individual projects contributing to the programme, including dependencies and risks.
Input progress, actuals, and forecast dates into Primavera P6, ensuring robust governance around change control is followed.
Conduct regular planning meetings to carry out progress health checks, identifying risks for escalation to the Programme Delivery Manager.
Support the Integrated Delivery Team in all aspects of programme coordination.
Ensure all projects/programmes are resource-loaded, performing smoothing and levelling reviews where required.
Ensure all projects/programmes are cost-loaded, reporting on Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics and highlighting variances.
Support the Programme Delivery Manager in preparing and delivering programme reports for the client, often representing the company in client and regulatory meetings.
