Role OverviewWe\'re seeking a technically strong and hands‑on Plant Engineer to lead electrical and automation maintenance, develop preventative strategies, and support production, quality, safety, and control initiatives. You\'ll oversee a team of technicians, manage CMMS tasks, and drive continuous improvement and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor engineering technicians; allocate daily maintenance tasks efficientlyDevelop a training matrix to ensure team competencyElectrical & Automation MaintenanceImplement and oversee planned and preventative maintenance (PPM)Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and automated system faultsWork with Siemens S7/TIA, Profinet, HMI interfaces, and other automation toolsTechnical Projects & CMMS ManagementManage shutdowns, capital projects, and process improvementsCapture maintenance data, feedback, and lessons learnt in Elecosoft CMMSPartner with stores for spare parts and stock managementProcess Improvement & KPI ReportingDesign systems for condition monitoring and root‑cause analysisGenerate KPIs to track downtime, response time, and maintenance efficiencyCompliance & Safety AssuranceEnsure adherence to ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 50001, CE marking, and site safety policiesProvide clear engineering documentation and compliance updatesCross‑Functional CollaborationWork with Production, Quality, Safety, and Controls teams to align maintenance with operational needsParticipate in procurement, recruitment, and training initiativesSkills & QualificationsDegree/HNC/HND in Electrical/Automation Engineering or equivalent5+ years in high‑volume manufacturing or industrial environmentsProficiency with Siemens S7/TIA, Profinet, HMI, and PLC fault diagnosticsExperience with Elecosoft or similar CMMSStrong project management and shutdown planning experienceDemonstrated leadership and team management capabilitiesExcellent problem-solving, communication, and organisation skillsStrong adherence to HSE and compliance standardsDesirable for the Plant Engineer role:Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systemsFormal electrical installation certificationExposure to cold rolling processesProject/process improvement certifications (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, CPE)Please contact Nicola at HRGO recruitment regarding the Plant Engineer role on 0151 3471110 or 07718 490426 email nicola.evans@hrgo.co.uk #J-18808-Ljbffr
