PLANT ENGINEER - COLCHESTER
Pertemps Recruitment is pleased to present an exceptional opportunity on behalf of our valued client, for an experienced Plant Engineer to join their expanding construction division.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Location: Colchester, CO2 region
Working Hours: 07:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday
Contract Duration: 1-2 months initially (covering permanent vacancy)
Hourly Rate: £13.50 - £15.83 per hour
Permanent Equivalent Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Our client seeks a skilled Plant Engineer to join their rapidly developing construction division, ensuring plant equipment is maintained to exemplary standards whilst consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
Principal Responsibilities:
Conduct equipment repair and pre-hire inspections
Execute comprehensive maintenance programmes for construction equipment
Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs
Undertake systematic service and inspection protocols
Maintain equipment to the highest standards of cleanliness, functionality and regulatory compliance

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Essential Criteria:
Demonstrable knowledge and experience within plant hire or equipment industries
Strong collaborative skills with ability to support team objectives
Self-motivated approach with adaptability to dynamic working environments
Desirable Criteria:
Full UK driving licence (advantageous but not essential)
