Platform Engineer

New Today

Platform Engineer – Hybrid (1–2 days a week, Stockport) – £60–65k
Most platform roles are about maintaining what’s already there. This one isn’t.
The business is scaling quickly and the platform foundations are still being built. You’ll have the autonomy to design, implement and run things your way — with a clear path to owning the platform function as it grows.
What you’ll be doing:
*
Define, build and run CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
*
Work alongside developers to support and optimise cloud infrastructure.
*
Automate wherever possible — reducing manual overheads.
*
Lead on monitoring, performance and scalability improvements.
*
Build security and disaster recovery into everything you deliver.
Tech you’ll be around:
*
Azure (DevOps, Front Door, SQL, Cosmos, DNS, Entra/AD)
*
CI/CD pipelines, release management and monitoring (Grafana / Azure native)
*
Infrastructure as Code (Bicep)
*
Containerised .NET and Node.js apps (Docker)
*
WAF, secrets, certificates and mail relays
Why it’s worth it:
*
Ownership from day one — set things up how you see fit
*
Fast track into leading platform engineering
*
Hybrid setup: 1–2 days per week in Stockport
*
Salary £60–65k
If you’re a mid–senior engineer who wants to shape the platform, not just support it, this is the move
