Position Overview
As a Preventative Maintenance Engineer, you will work closely with our controller to ensure our equipment is always operational and ready for our customers. Your role will involve:
- Timely and efficient routine maintenance to maximize equipment availability.
- Identifying potential issues that could affect performance.
- Carrying out minor repairs as needed.
- Being a safety ambassador, ensuring all servicing promotes safety for yourself and our customers.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will focus on:
- Preventative Maintenance Servicing: Conduct routine servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines (75%)
- Machine Inspection: Perform visual and mechanical analyses to identify developing issues (20%)
- Minor Repairs: Complete minor repairs and install telematic systems (5%)

Working Conditions
This is a field-based role , and it’s essential that all drivers have held a full driving license for at least 2 years. Your working hours will be 43 hours per week with flexible start and finish times, Monday to Friday (with one Saturday every three weeks at an overtime rate).
What You Need to Succeed
We’re looking for candidates with:
- A basic knowledge of the four main product elements: Engines, Hydraulics, Powertrain, and Vehicle Electrics/Electronics.
- Direct experience (around 3 years) in a related engineering function, such as car mechanic, HGV fitter, or Agricultural Engineer.
- A formal apprenticeship qualification (C&G level 1) is desirable.
- Health & Safety training is a plus, but further training will be provided.
