About the role

WSP are looking for an enthusiastic and diligent Electrical Engineer to join the Maritime team based in the UK. You will contribute to the technical delivery of a wide range of UK-based and international projects for a variety of clients, ranging from local authorities to private clients and international terminal operators. You will participate in all stages of project maturity, including Feasibility Studies, Concept Designs, FEED Studies, Value Engineering and Detailed Design. You will prepare electrical deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, cable calculations, cable block diagrams, plant layouts, cable routing and containment design, switchgear configurations, and produce bill of materials/quantities in accordance with international standards and client requirements with minimal guidance. You will draft electrical specifications and review contractor design submissions against Employer’s Requirements, standards, codes, and good practices. You will work with equipment vendors on developing designs of equipment packages and participate in technical evaluations. You will liaise with owners, operators and investors to assess the condition of electrical assets and determine intervention needs. There is also an opportunity to develop project management skills and work closely with clients.

Your role will be hybrid based; you may visit sites around the UK for projects. Overseas projects may require travel for short periods.
