Port Engineer required for a major Offshore Wind Developer based in The United Kingdom

Responsibilities

Assess port infrastructure and its suitability for the company's offshore wind projects. Identify and sense check needs for port upgrading works such as quay reinforcement works, seabed strengthening for jack-up vessel and enhancement of ground bearing capacities. Define, develop and review port logistics concepts and contracts. Review technical as well as contractual documents related to the tendering and selection process of marshalling ports. Support preparations of Port Design / Upgrade Scope of works.Requirements

Engineering Degree or equivalent in the field of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related areas. Professional experience in the field of civil/structural engineering, including. Structural analysis of quays for different load combinations, including checks of bending moments, anchor forces, and deformations. Bearing capacity calculations. Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards. Interest in project management and its interface to engineering.
