SLD Pumps & Power, a Carrier company, is one of the UK's leading suppliers of pumps and generator rental equipment.About the role:We are currently recruiting an experienced Service Engineer for our Paisley depot to support both depot-based and field-based operations across Scotland. Travel across Scotland may be required, including Livingston, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness, and Falkirk. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically skilled engineer with diesel engine experience looking to develop their career.ResponsibilitiesService, maintain, and repair pumps, generators, and diesel-powered equipment in both depot and field-based environments.Prepare and inspect equipment at the depot to ensure it is fully operational before deployment.Carry out major overhauls and refurbishments of end-of-life equipment.Diagnose faults and perform repairs to minimise equipment downtime.Collaborate effectively with the service team, hire controller, and foreman to ensure smooth operations.Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company policies at all times.Maintain a clean and organised working environment, ensuring all equipment meets safety and quality standards.Travel to customer sites and participate in an on-call rota (1 week in 4).You’ll haveMechanical experience, ideally working with plant equipment, pumps, generators, and diesel engines.Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, an M&E related apprenticeship or equivalent.Full UK Driving licenceOur benefitsCompetitive salary package (Negotiable DOE)Enhanced payments through overtime and on-callCompany Vehicle25 Days Holiday + bank holiday + holiday purchase schemeCompany PensionGreat career progression opportunities, development and continuous training offeredCarrier is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
