My client is looking for a power electronics design working on a naval programme. The role will be hybrid working. The role will involve Design and develop power electronic circuits, including DC-DC converters, AC-DC rectifiers, inverters, and motor drives. Apply industry best practices to design high-efficiency, compact, and reliable power systems, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and cost targets. Perform component selection for power electronic circuits, balancing technical and commercial constraints. Modelling & Simulation Use MATLAB, Simulink, and LTspice to model and simulate power electronic systems and validate their performance. Create system-level simulations to predict behaviour under various operational conditions, including transient and steady-state performance. Develop digital control models for power electronics systems, focusing on feedback loops, stability, and performance optimisation.
