The Role
As a Presales Engineer, your mission is to provide strategic technical advisory to prospects, customers, and Rossumers. You’ll be instrumental in securing sales wins. You take ownership of the customer’s technical journey through the sales cycle—analyzing customer needs, running discovery sessions and demonstrations, and implementing end-to-end proofs of concept. Your impact directly influences customer decisions.
Our team bridges the gap between the GTM organization and the technical teams. You’ll influence product development by providing strategic feedback and implementing ad hoc solutions that may evolve into product features.

This is a full-time hybrid position based in London, United Kingdom, or a remote position based anywhere in Europe (with preference for Germany or the Netherlands).
You will be responsible for:
Leading in-depth technical discovery to map out complex customer processes and design tailored solutions.
Delivering compelling, customized presentations and demos that tell a story rather than list features.
Explaining complex technical and architectural concepts simply and clearly to business stakeholders.
Tackling technical challenges—from scripting to system configuration—while finding answers to unknowns.
Collaborating closely with Product, Research, Services, and Management teams to provide customer feedback and strategic insights.
Owning the customer technical journey, ensuring an excellent customer experience throughout the sales cycle.
Embracing change, quick feedback loops, and continuous iterative improvement.
Performing cost/benefit and risk/benefit analyses on sales opportunities.

You have experience in a customer-facing role with a strong track record of running technical discovery and solution design.
You are a skilled presenter who customizes every interaction for maximum impact.

You’re technically savvy and comfortable discussing architecture and integrations.
You’re confident in handling diverse technical challenges and quickly learning new concepts.
You have experience or a strong willingness to learn about artificial intelligence.
You have domain experience in finance, logistics, or ERP systems like Coupa, SAP, or Netsuite.
You think outside the box and look for creative, effective workarounds.
You’re collaborative and unafraid to ask questions and learn from others.
You’re independent, self-driven, and a fast learner.
You thrive in fast-paced environments with iterative feedback and improvement.
You want to help build the practice, not just follow it.
You have excellent communication and writing skills in English (other languages are a plus).
Most importantly, you’re honest and bullshit-free, basing opinions on data but staying open to good arguments.
