Position Overview

As a Preventative Maintenance Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the controller to maximize the operational availability of our equipment. Your role will involve:

• Routine and Preventative Maintenance: Conduct timely servicing and inspections to keep our machinery running smoothly.
• Issue Identification: Spot potential problems before they affect availability.
• Minor Repairs: Carry out essential repairs as needed, ensuring safety for yourself and our customers.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Preventative Maintenance Servicing: 75% of your time will be spent on routine servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Machine Inspection: 20% will involve visual and mechanical analysis to identify developing issues.
• Minor Repairs: 5% will be dedicated to completing minor repairs and installations.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• A basic knowledge of engines, hydraulics, powertrain, and vehicle electrics/electronics.
• Experience in a related engineering function (around 3 years) or a formal apprenticeship qualification.
• A full driving license held for at least 2 years (subject to DVLA check).

Working Conditions

This is a field-based role with a working pattern of 43 hours per week , Monday to Friday, including one Saturday in three at an overtime rate. We offer flexible start and finish times to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance.
