From detailed structural calculations, stress analysis, FEA, load modelling, to the comprehensive design of vast offshore foundations: Jackets, Monopiles, TP, steel towers.

Role

Do you possess a degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering coupled with expertise in offshore wind structural engineering? Our client is a fast growing, innovative and exciting renewable company seeking a Lead/ Senior / Principal Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver primary steel design work packages for concept, FEED and detailed designs in collaboration with other disciplines at a senior level.
  • Lead structural calculations, stress analysis, FEA, load modelling and the design of offshore foundations (Jackets, Monopiles, TP, steel towers).
  • Collaborate with Tech Leads, Project Managers and Design Managers to ensure coherent project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Structural engineering experience within the Offshore Wind sector.
  • Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering.
  • Experience in offshore wind foundation design.
  • Primary Steel Structure design engineering for Offshore Wind (e.g., Jackets, Monopiles or TP).
  • For this role you must have offshore wind structural engineering experience in primary steel.

Desirable Experience

  • Chartered / Masters / Relevant PhD an advantage.
  • Fabrication/ T&I of Monopiles or Jackets or TP for OWF.
  • Loads Analysis e.g. offshore loading and dynamics of offshore wind turbine foundations.
  • Fatigue, Dynamics, Wind, waves, Vibrations, Non-Linear analyses.
  • Owner's Engineer, Package Manager, Engineering Manager or Contract Manager experience.
  • Certifications from agencies like DNV-GL, Lloyds Register, Bureau Veritas, etc.
  • Any structural design software e.g. RFEM, STAAD-PRO, SACS, SESAM or similar.
  • Programming languages, e.g. Python.
