Our client is one of the UK's leading private Engineering Consultancies, is seeking an experienced Principal Engineer, Bridges to join their team in the Glasgow office. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of public and private projects, collaborating with interdisciplinary departments and building strong relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the growth and success of a thriving engineering consultancy
• Lead a team of designers and CAD technicians, shaping the future of bridge engineering

Qualifications

• Preferred Requirements: Prepare bridge design calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and other project documentation in line with company, client, and industry standards
• Preferred Requirements: Utilise specialist bridge analysis software such as MIDAS, LUSAS and Autodesk Structural Bridge Design to undertake complex modelling of bridges
• Preferred Requirements: Provide technical leadership in the resolution of complex engineering challenges
• Preferred Requirements: Supervise and mentor other engineering team members, contributing to their professional development
• Preferred Requirements: Attend design meetings and site inspections, fostering strong client relationships
• Preferred Qualifications: Degree in civil engineering and Chartered professional status
• Preferred Qualifications: Substantial structural design experience within the bridges sector and in a consultancy environment
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous relevant site experience, including the supervision of large, complex bridge engineering projects
