We are seeking a commercial, forward-thinking, and solution-focused Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Services team in Bristol. You will be delivering exceptional technical and commercial solutions to clients across the private and public sectors, including education, defence, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and commercial sectors.

Your core responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and managing designs, feasibility studies, reports, and contract documents.
- Carrying out building analysis.
- Liaising directly with clients and contractors, and promoting business development.
- Supervising a team of engineers and technicians, and assisting in project resource and cost management.

About You
Our ideal Principal Building Services Engineer (Mechanical) will have:
- HND/Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- Significant experience in mechanical building services / HVAC design (e.g., domestic water services, ventilation, heating, cooling).
- Hands-on knowledge of IES, Hevacomp, and AutoCAD; experience with Revit MEP is desirable.
- Knowledge of current legislation, UK Building Regulations, Low/Zero Carbon Technologies, and BREEAM.
- Excellent communication skills, collaborative, and self-motivated.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or IEng, BEng with mechanical engineering experience.
- Knowledge of construction industry design processes and procurement arrangements.
- Excellent design skills across various sectors.
- Resource planning and management experience.
- Business development experience.
