Contract - up to £480 per day OUTSIDE IR35 • Perm - up to £75K per annum

Overview

Principal Civil Engineer - Chartered is required for a leading infrastructure design and engineering firm specialising in rail electrification, civil works, and water sector solutions, delivering projects from concept through detailed design. They provide excellence in both design & build, working in operational networks and constrained environments.

Responsibilities

  • You will lead the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant design solutions.
  • Oversee engineers, CAD technicians, and graduates while ensuring adherence to technical and industry standards.
  • Approve design deliverables, reports, and specifications.
  • Manage project changes, estimate design hours, and present at key meetings.

Qualifications

  • Chartered engineer.
  • 10 years\' relevant design experience in the regulated water industry.
  • Understanding of hydraulics.
  • Experience with both clean water and waste water.
