Principal Civil Engineer - Chartered

Manchester - Hybrid (3 days in a week on-site)

Contract - up to £480 per day OUTSIDE IR35

Perm - up to £75K per annum

Principal Civil Engineer - Chartered is required for a leading infrastructure design and engineering firm specialising in rail electrification, civil works, and water sector solutions, delivering projects from concept through detailed design. They provide excellence in both design & build, working in operational networks and constrained environments.

Responsibilities

• You will lead the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant design solutions, overseeing engineers, CAD technicians, and graduates while ensuring adherence to technical and industry standards.
• You will be responsible for approving design deliverables, reports, and specifications, managing project changes, estimating design hours, and presenting at key meetings.

Qualifications / Skills

• Chartered Engineer.
• Strong experience within the water industry/water projects.
• Understanding of hydraulics.
• Experience with both clean water and waste water.
