Overview We are looking for a talented Principal Civil Engineer who wants to work on exciting water projects and make a big impact, to join our team in Brighton. We partner with the top water clients across the UK, work on some of the largest, most iconic water projects in the industry, and design with community in mind by reducing environmental and improving social impacts. We enable the delivery of sustainable development and infrastructure projects that adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change. Our Civil Engineers work across the project lifecycle in asset planning / strategy, concept design, outline design and detailed design. We work in a variety of project areas within the water sector, including clean water treatment and networks, wastewater treatment, wastewater networks, flooding, and urban drainage. You\u2019ll be responsible for the project\u2019s civil engineering design, the leadership of civil engineering teams and will work alongside our overall project design leads to ensure successful project delivery and outcomes for our clients. You will also have access to Stantec\u2019s world-class expertise to help you deliver cutting-edge design. Responsibilities
Lead civil engineering design for projects within the water sector, including clean water and wastewater networks, flooding, and urban drainage. Provide leadership to civil engineering teams and collaborate with project design leads to ensure successful delivery. Contribute to asset planning / strategy and concept to detailed design across the project lifecycle. Engage with clients in a professional, proactive manner to support project objectives and outcomes.
Qualifications
Experience as a Civil Engineer on projects within the water, environment or related infrastructure sectors. Chartered or Incorporated member status with a relevant professional body such as ICE or CIWEM is ideal. Passion for the water and environment sector and for supporting developing civil engineers. Proven track record of successful project delivery and collaborative work with project teams to develop innovative solutions. Experience in client-facing roles, leading client engagement and collaboration on a regular basis.
