This is the ideal opportunity to join my client, a well-established, expanding Multidisciplinary Consultancy as they expand their country-wide, renowned for their expertise across the landscape architecture, planning, and civil engineering landscapes. They are searching for a keen, capable Principal Civil Engineer with extensive skills within infrastructure design, willing to take on a variety of challenging projects and leading a growing team in a new location, based near the lively, modern city of Glasgow.

Responsibilities for the role of Principal Civil Engineer include:

Leading the design of a wide array of engineering developments Managing the day-to-day running of projects, including financing, resourcing, scheduling, and delivering Mentoring and supporting colleagues within their respective roles, encouraging and overseeing their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) at the company Managing and supporting clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors Preparing, checking, and submitting technical reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, risk assessments, method statements, and other documents Upholding company policies, procedures, and best practice, upholding the appropriate health and safety standards at all times Contributing to the company's business development and growth, acting as a representative at client meetings, site visits, etc.

Required skills and experience for the role of Principal Civil Engineer include:

A Bachelor's or Master's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering Possess Chartered Status Demonstrable experience of working in a design role, within a UK-based consultancy setting Extensive experience of working with infrastructure (drainage and highways), housing developments, and energy projects Experience of earthworks and drainage network modelling Highly proficient in the use of various software packages, including Civils 3D, InfoDrainage/MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, etc. Demonstrable experience of writing, correcting, and amending a variety of reports Experience of managing projects and people Considerable experience of managing client and stakeholder relations Outstanding organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Hold a full, valid UK driving licence

Desirable skills and experience for the role of Principal Civil Engineer include:

Previous experience of producing Flood Risk Assessments Some experience of preparing Transport Assessments Experience of working in a public-facing role
