Bring your skills as a Principal Civil Infrastructure Engineer. You'll play a vital role in utilities & external works engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure, with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad.
We specialize in all aspects of civil infrastructure engineering and seek individuals with broad experience in utilities and external works to support multiple sectors such as Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development, and Water. We provide industry-leading engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle, adding value from concept to construction. We currently have opportunities in our Manchester office.
Your Purpose:
- Lead a team to undertake technical design work to relevant standards and codes, ensuring high quality.
- Provide multidisciplinary understanding of utilities, external works, and drainage within civil infrastructure, managing stakeholder interfaces and ensuring proper integration.
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
- Manage time and budgets effectively to meet project milestones and deadlines.
- Collaborate with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
What you can bring:
- Strong understanding of gas, power, water, and communication network design, construction, and operation, familiar with UK standards.
- Hands-on experience in utilities and external works, including multidisciplinary design delivery and coordination.
- Analytical skills to assess complex scenarios, identify risks, and apply proactive solutions.
- Stakeholder engagement skills, especially with utility providers, to ensure effective design integration and conflict resolution.
- Chartered Engineer qualification in a relevant discipline.
