We are recruiting for a Principal Cloud (Azure) Engineer to play a key role in the development, implementation, and optimisation of our Azure Cloud infrastructure. You will work within our IT function as part of our Cloud Engineering teams on our Azure Platform, ensuring it is fit for purpose, resilient, scalable, and capable of delivering value quickly. The team consists of around 20 engineers, where you will serve as the overall lead technical authority and decision-maker. The teams collaborate closely with other IT, software, and data engineering teams building innovative solutions within our Azure Platform.

What Will You Be Doing?
As part of our cloud strategy, we are migrating services to Azure and developing new solutions. You will provide expertise to multiple teams involved in evolving our Azure platform, including:
- Leading technical decisions in Azure Cloud solutions, IaC, automation, and security.
- Defining best practices and ensuring adherence to security, compliance, and performance standards.
- Driving DevOps and SRE principles to enhance operational efficiency and resilience.
- Collaborating with senior leadership and various teams to align cloud investments with digital transformation goals.
- Advising on Azure cost management and implementing efficiency strategies.
- Mentoring teams to embed technical excellence and regulatory compliance.
What Do We Need From You?
You should have expert knowledge of Azure cloud services, including networking, data services, automation, and security. Your skills should include proficiency with Powershell, Terraform, Bicep, and Azure DevOps pipelines. You should also have hands-on experience with Azure security and identity management. Additional requirements include:

- Strong solution architecture skills for scalable, high-performance cloud solutions.
