Responsibilities
- Deliver EICA design inputs for infrastructure related projects.
- Prepare and/or review EICA package deliverables such as technical specifications, calculations, reports, datasheets, schedules, control philosophies, user requirement specifications and associated EICA documentation.
- Review and execute tender evaluations.
- Participate in proposals, scoping of work, identifying key tasks, packages and developing resourcing/time estimates.
- Understand requirements related to DSEAR and EICA equipment in explosive atmospheres.
- Participate in and manage inspection, testing, setting to work and commissioning stages relevant to ICA equipment and installations.
- Attend factory acceptance tests for panel, PLC/HMI application software and SCADA.
- Coach and mentor ICA discipline junior staff.
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate
- Degree qualified (IET accredited) in electrical or control engineering, or the minimum of an electrical/control HND with substantial experience.
- Professional registration with the Engineering Council as a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer.
- Extensive experience in EICA engineering design for water infrastructure, including preparing and reviewing deliverables such as technical specs, calculations, reports, datasheets, schedules, control philosophies, user requirement specs, and network architecture drawings.
- Knowledgeable about DSEAR, electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres, and CDM regulations for installations.
- Strong client-facing skills; diligent, collaborative, motivated, and able to work with clients, WSP teams, or independently.
- Willing to travel to operational and construction sites for surveys, inspections, and testing, while ensuring safety.
- Practical understanding of electrical safe systems of work.
