We're looking for a Principal Design Engineer to join our Design team based in Salford. You'll utilise your extensive experience in delivering successful flood, water management, and drainage projects to achieve exceptional outcomes for a diverse range of clients, including Highways, local authorities, water industry clients, and significant major projects like the A66 Northern Trans-Pennine. Your dedication to continuous improvement and development will ensure excellence across all projects. \n\n \n\nLocation: Salford - Office based with some remote working available\n\nSalary: £50,000 - £57,500 + £5.9k annual car allowance + private healthcare + benefits\n\n \n\nResponsibilities\n\nAs Principal Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading a team of skilled designers in delivering high-value, high-quality drainage schemes, supporting the Drainage Design Manager in executing the drainage strategy.\n\nYour day to day will include:\n\nMaintaining the highest standards of quality and project controls established by the team and wider business\n\nApplying the latest design standards and lessons learnt to projects\n\nLiaising with statutory and non-statutory bodies obtaining relevant data, licences, and consents\n\nDriving technical excellence and continued improvement across the team\n\nMonitoring project delivery and undertaking change control management\n\n \n\nWhat are we looking for?\n\nThis role of Principal Design Engineer is great if you have:\n\nCivil Engineering degree - or a similar combination of qualifications and / or experience\n\nProven expertise in a similar role and successfully leading teams to deliver projects\n\nProject management qualification and / or experience\n\n \n\nRewards and benefits\n\nWe're proud to be able to offer our brilliant people a wide variety of benefits that you can tailor to your needs. .\n\n \n\nDiversity and inclusion\n\nMaking Kier a diverse and inclusive place to work is a huge priority for us.
