Overview

As a Principal DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, implementing, and optimizing end-to-end CI/CD capabilities for my clients growing on-premises and multi-cloud operations. This is a fully remote position, and you will be part of a dynamic DevOps team that is seeking a highly skilled individual with exceptional communication skills, strong cloud experience, and a proven track record of delivering innovative CI/CD solutions.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Establish, scale, lead, and mentor team members towards DevOps excellence.
• CI/CD Expertise: Provide expert DevOps tools and CI/CD guidance to software development teams across the enterprise.
• Pipeline Development: Build a reusable, standardized CI/CD pipeline model incorporating quality gates, security, and cutting-edge tools and automation.
• Process Automation: Drive process automation to eliminate manual steps in application build and deployment, integrating compliance and quality gates into the process.
• Technical Guidance: Lead discussions and guide technical teams on operational, technical, and procedural best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of experience designing and implementing CI/CD solutions and DevOps practices.
• 8+ years of cloud computing experience.
• Proficiency with version control systems like GitHub, GitLab, and code branching principles.
• Extensive experience with build and release processes and associated tools, including CI/CD pipelines and hands-on knowledge of toolchains such as Jenkins, CircleCI, TeamCity, Azure DevOps, Artifactory, GitHub, GitLab, SonarQube, Coverity, or similar.
• Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Strong experience with Ansible for configuration as code.
• Familiarity with orchestration and automation tooling like Rundeck.
