What You'll Be Doing:

As a Principal Engineer in Test Integration, you will play a vital role in ensuring the robustness of our systems. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with design teams to create comprehensive test documentation that evaluates system performance.
• Understanding customer needs for integration activities and translating them into actionable deliverables.
• Conducting integration testing according to approved procedures, taking full ownership of verification and validation activities.
• Investigating complex technical faults and queries related to integrated systems, leveraging your deep understanding of technical design.
• Acting as a technical liaison between design and commissioning teams on test-related topics.
• Compiling and communicating test evidence and reports through various mediums.
• Developing innovative test strategies and procedures in collaboration with Systems design teams.
• Enhancing our Integration test capability through workshops, project planning, and mentoring fellow staff members.

Your Skills and Experiences:

Essential:

• Relevant qualification or engineering experience (Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent).
• Ability to provide technical knowledge and instruction during emergent incidents.
• Expertise in guiding Control Systems.
• Understanding of Electrical Testing and/or Software Testing.
• Experience in Test and Acceptance within a high assurance engineering environment.

Desirable:

• In-depth knowledge of safety controls and procedures in an operational environment.

As part of our dynamic Test & Integration team, you will have the chance to develop and execute innovative integration testing for state-of-the-art electrical programmable equipment. Your contributions will be crucial in creating complex test procedures that govern critical de-risking activities.

This team is essential in testing the software of vital boat systems, writing test procedures, and delivering measures at significant stages of submarine construction. With rapid growth on the horizon, exciting development opportunities await you!
