The Role
This is a senior, hands-on design and leadership role, taking technical ownership of machinery-level electrical systems for thermal energy storage solutions, typically operating around 400Vac and 2MW. You'll play a pivotal role in:
Leading the design and specification of product- and machinery-level electrical systems
Providing technical authority while actively contributing to day-to-day design work
Overseeing external partners and managing subcontractors
Mentoring and guiding junior engineers within the team
Helping to define processes, standards, and strategy as the company scales
Collaborating across mechanical, controls, and software teams to deliver fully integrated solutions
What You'll Need
A strong background in electrical engineering, ideally with experience designing systems for machinery, automation, or complex electro-mechanical equipment
Proven experience in a lead or principal-level role, including mentoring and subcontractor management
Strong first-principles engineering ability and practical design skills
Experience with power system specification, preferably in the MW scale
Industry backgrounds could include clean energy, process engineering, automation, machinery, utilities, or similar
A proactive and collaborative mindset, capable of working in a fast-moving environment
