This is not just a hands-on role-it's about setting direction, maintaining design integrity, and ensuring robust delivery across complex, often bespoke electronics systems. You'll guide a high-performing team through design reviews, component strategy, and innovation roadmaps, while actively mentoring and influencing project success.

\nKey Responsibilities\n

\n \n Act as design authority across all electronic development projects

\n

\n

\n Lead formal design reviews and provide expert oversight

\n

\n

\n Drive early-stage problem-solving and design strategy

\n

\n

\n Research and integrate new technologies and techniques

\n

\n

\n Mentor engineers and provide daily technical guidance

\n

\n

\n Align technical development with delivery objectives and timelines

\n

\n

\n Contribute to prototyping, validation, and system evaluations

\nRequired Qualifications & Experience\n

\n \n PhD in Electronics or related field OR Master's degree with 10+ years of high-level electronics design experience

\n

\n

\n Broad expertise including:

\n

\n \n Analogue/digital circuit design

\n

\n

\n Schematic capture and PCB layout

\n

\n

\n Embedded systems (hardware/software)

\n

\n

\n RF, signal processing, or high-speed design

\n

\n

\n

\n

\n Experience leading design reviews and setting technical standards

\n

\n

\n Strong stakeholder communication at both technical and strategic levels

\n

\n

\nDesirable\n

\n \n Chartered Engineer (CEng) status

\n

\n

\n Background in secure, regulated, or safety-critical systems

\n

\n

\n Experience in miniaturised or low-SWaP electronic design

\n

\n
