Join Our Team as a Principal Engineer in Electrical Engineering (Power)

Location: Barrow-In-Furness (Hybrid) - 2 days a fortnight onsite; 1 day a week onsite at Filton, depending on business needs.

Salary: Up to £57,500 (commensurate with skills and experience)

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop innovative design solutions that meet project milestones in terms of time, cost, and quality.
• Manage requirements and acceptance criteria for systems or products, ensuring alignment across platforms and programs.
• Understand and support contractual and performance requirements throughout the design, build, integration, installation, and commissioning phases.
• Create essential documentation for the design review process, including diagrams, technical specifications, and justifications.
• Provide technical support for integrated performance and acceptance activities, ensuring smooth transitions from suppliers to customer acceptance.
• Assist in developing estimates for project scope and resources to support bids and project planning.
• Contribute to Certificate of Design activities, clearly articulating complex technical arguments.
• Deliver engineering solutions that support build activities, defect resolution, and change management.

Your Skills and Experiences:

• BEng (Hons) / MEng or equivalent, with the ability to satisfy requirements for Chartered Engineer (CEng).
• Proven experience in electrical engineering, particularly in power systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly and effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across various disciplines.
