Principal Software Engineer (PLC) Location: Barrow, Cumbria (1-2 days on site each month) Duration: 12 months Rate: £50 per hour PAYE or £67.47 per hour Umbrella We are looking for a Software Engineer to be involved in designing, developing, and delivering cutting edge systems for the world's most advanced military submarines. Our client is recruiting a Software Engineer to join the Integrated Systems PMS C&I team to be based at their site at Barrow In Furness, Cumbria. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be able work to recognised industry standards to produce innovative, high quality software products. Working within a multi-disciplined team and utilising a variety of tools and programming languages, you will engage in all aspects of the software development cycle from requirements elicitation through design, development and test. As a senior member of the team, you will be able to take responsibility for your own and others work as well as provide technical assistance to support the development of junior members of the team. You will take a lead during assurance and review activities ensuring that all required configuration, release and documentation activities have been produced in accordance with the relevant standards.
