Responsibilities

  • Deliver: Act as a Design Lead for elements of a project, liaising directly with clients and the wider design team for the day to day design development but being guided by a Technical Lead / mentor
  • Provide Expertise: Manage more junior engineers in the design of infrastructure elements
  • Deliver: Provide input to the develop

Projects and Opportunities

Join a team working on major Civils projects of a tunnelling nature with opportunities to work on projects such as Snowdonia Cable Tunnel, London Power Tunnels, Pumped Storage schemes for electrical power generation, and major road tunnels. Although advertised as a full time role, part time options will also be considered.

Qualifications

  • You will ideally be educated to degree level in Civil or Civil & Structural Engineering, and/ or have MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics/ Geotechnical/ Tunnelling Engineering, with/working towards a professional membership.
  • You will have broad experience as a designer in Reinforced Concrete to Eurocodes in relation to underground structures such as secant piles, capping beams, segmental shaft linings, in situ concrete structural elements, D-Walls, shafts and tunnels.
  • A Civil or Structural Engineer with good familiarity of Geotechnical Engineering principles as they apply to soil-structure interaction
