GHD is seeking a skilled and motivated Principal Engineer to join our growing Water Infrastructure team in the UK. This is a key technical leadership role for a Chartered Engineer (or equivalent experience) with expertise in network modelling, hydraulics, and feasibility design.
About The Role
As a Principal Engineer at GHD, you will lead the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, contributing to sustainable solutions that serve communities and the environment.
Responsibilities
- Network modelling and hydraulic analysis to support infrastructure planning.
- Concept and outline feasibility design for water systems.
- Detailed design experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Ensuring engineering solutions meet technical, regulatory, and client standards.
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers.
- Supporting client engagement and project delivery.
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Chartered Engineer status or equivalent experience.
- Strong technical background in water infrastructure, particularly network modelling and hydraulics.
- Experience in feasibility and concept design; detailed design is a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative and proactive approach to engineering delivery.
