A respected engineering consultancy is seeking a Principal Engineer to join its expanding water infrastructure team. This is a senior technical leadership role for a Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) with expertise in network modelling, hydraulics, and feasibility design. The position offers hybrid working from offices across the UK, with opportunities to contribute to high-impact water and wastewater projects that support sustainable development and community resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct network modelling and hydraulic analysis to support planning and design.
  • Develop concept and feasibility designs for water systems.
  • Ensure engineering solutions meet technical, regulatory, and client standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
  • Support client engagement and project coordination.

Ideal Candidate

  • Chartered Engineer status or equivalent experience.
  • Strong technical background in water infrastructure, especially network modelling and hydraulics.
  • Experience in feasibility and concept design; detailed design is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Collaborative and proactive approach to engineering delivery.
