We support full building engineering design with Civil & Structural Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Facade Engineering, Fire Engineering, Access Consultancy and Geomatic Surveying, from concept to completion.The OpportunityReporting directly to the Head of Façade Access, the role of a Principal Facade Access Engineer at Wintech is to provide Façade Access consultancy services, self-manage projects and directly liaise with clients and other interested parties, to effectively meet client’s expectations and actively contribute to the Company’s continued success.Key Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesAct as the Lead Façade Access consultant on Wintech projectsManaging multiple projects in a clear, concise and coordinated mannerDeliver design reports and specifications for new builds in line with RIBA design stagesAttending meetings with clients, contractors and sub-contractorsWorking with design teams to deliver a high-quality serviceExcellent knowledge of all regulations, guidance, and requirements relating to suspended access equipment and rope accessKeep abreast of pending and future changesCarrying out technical audits of façade access subcontractor tenders, construction drawings, calculation and O&M manualsManaging relationships with internal and external clients, Engineers and other stakeholdersVisiting site to monitor and advise the subcontractorCarry out site audits on existing Suspended Access Equipment (SAE)Producing detailed technical reportsWitnessing suspended access equipment testing in factory settings and on siteLiaising with the Head of Façade Access to establish further services the client may requireIdentify potential new work opportunities to help the department grow its portfolioLiaising with Façade Engineering and Structural Engineering colleagues in-houseMaintaining responsibility for the financial performance and delivery of your projectsLiaising with the finance team to ensure accurate invoicing is completed in a timely mannerQualifications and ExperienceExtensive knowledge of suspended access equipment and rope access systemsHigher education qualification in engineering or in a façade related subjectAlready Chartered or working towards achieving Chartered StatusExcellent draughting skills in AutoCADGood knowledge of BIMMinimum 5 years’ experience in the façade access industryWe are committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and applications from individuals are encouraged regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion and belief, and marriage and civil partnerships.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionConsulting and EngineeringIndustriesEngineering ServicesBusiness Consulting and ServicesConstructionWe’re committed to equal opportunity for all staff; we encourage applications from individuals regardless of age, disability, sex, gender identity, race, religion or belief, pregnancy and maternity, sexual orientation, marriage or civil partnership.
