Principal Fire Engineer - North of EnglandWe're looking for a principal fire engineer to help mentor and lead our Manchester crewWe're looking for a principal fire engineer to join the technical part of the business. You will deliver client projects, lead our team with advice and mentorship, as well as deliver expert technical support. You will contribute to the consulting output and assist with overall development of the business.Main DutiesDelivery of fire safety design projects, from concept to completion, including the application of non-standard fire engineered analysisProviding direct support to the Regional Director in team leadership and managementDeliver client projects, provide technical support and help nurture the teamProvision of quality assurance and peer review services for company employees and associatesCompletion of fee quotes, PQQ and ITT submissions for fire safety tendersOversee and develop the technical capability of the team, contributing to the consulting output and assisting with the overall development of the regionHelp nurture junior members of the team, being a key part of their developmentPresentation of findings, reports and workshopsOutward-facing role working directly with clients to fulfil their needsAttend client meetings and provide fee proposals as requiredKey Skills & RequirementsTypically, 5-7 years' experience in a consultancy or similar environmentExtensive knowledge and experience of UK fire safety legislation and standardsExtensive experience delivering fire engineered solutions for UK-based projectsClear understanding of the total fire concept - from client brief through to construction and operationDevelopment and implementation of fire strategies, projects and research initiativesAbility to work under pressure and deliver maximum resultsPossess excellent report writing and communication skills - be collaborative, creative and engagingAbility to multi-task - you will be required to work on multiple projects concurrently, working to tight deadlines and juggling multiple demandsProven ability to develop a network of clients and colleagues at PartB and outside the companyUnderstand and manage the scope and relevant programme constraints of projectsRewardsWe'll reward your hard work with brilliant benefits, including:9-Day Fortnight, with every second Friday OFF (following successful completion of 6-month probation)Generous holidays: 27 days + bank holidays + period between Christmas and new yearCompany credit cardConfidential mental health support for you and your family, should you ever need itElectric car scheme (and many more)About UsPartB is an Equal Opportunities Employer.We believe the best work is done when a diverse group of people work together.
