Principal Geotechnical Engineer — Edinburgh. Permanent role. £40,000 to £60,000 per annum.

The successful Principal Geotechnical Engineer candidate will have the chance to work on a variety of rail, road, industrial, leisure, commercial and residential projects nationwide, gaining valuable experience alongside other experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Ground investigation project delivery, site characterisation, report writing and client liaison.
  • Work on geo-environmental ground investigation and assessment, remediation and validation, contract management, and planning and regulatory liaison.
  • Opportunity to grow into a management role within the company, as the client promotes from within.

Qualifications

  • Geology degree; another relevant degree.
  • Chartership desired but not essential.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Ground investigation, slope stability and report writing experience.
  • Commutable distance from Edinburgh office.
